Die Android-App, "nRF Connect"von Nordic, mit der man sich alles Mögliche über Bluetooth-Verbindungen anzeigen lassen kann, kann das Problem lösen. Wenn alle Services im Handy abgeschaltet sind, dann meldet die APP beim connect Versuch das rot hinterlegt "Bluetooth disabled" aber auch "Location disabled" also im Handy. Anschließend kann und muss man beides einschalten also "enablen"drücken. Natürlich geht das auch im Handy selbst, wenn man weiß wo das einzuschalten geht.
- unter Android 7-8 gibt es unerklärbare Verbindungsabbrüche die auch andere Hersteller beklagen. Ab Android 9.0 sind diese behoben. Als Workaround hilft es im Augenblick nur unsere APPCONGT App neu zu starten.

The Appcon App always uses the latest profile to exchange as much data as possible with our Appcon. Sometimes there is an older profile in the memory of the phone. To allow our new profile, please turn off Bluetooth in your phone for 10 seconds or simply restart your phone. Then everything works again. If necessary, this operation can only be carried out once.
To check the correct functionality of our sensors, please download the authorized test app (nRF Toolbox) from the Appstores. This app tests the Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE 4.0, Bluetooth Smart) function of the NC-17 sensor. Start the app and select CSC = cadence and speed test. If data is displayed there, the sensor is fully functional. If you still have problems with your favorite app, please contact our customer support to solve the problem. Since there is no standardized agreement between the app developers for BLE 4.0 and ANT+, unexpected function results sometimes occur.

zum Thema Bluetooth und GPS: Es handelt sich nicht um eine GPS-Abfrage aus unserer App, sondern um ein android-internes Problem. Aus Sicht des Datenschutzes bedeutet die Freigabe von Bluetooth für eine App, dass die App einen Teil ihrer Umgebung sieht, z. B. alle Bluetooth-Mäuse in einem Büro, die Freisprecheinrichtung eines Autos oder ein Bluetooth-Beacon. Ebenso wie das Mitlesen der IDs von WLAN-Basisstationen kam eine App so auf einfache Weise den Aufenthaltsort eines Handys bestimmen, selbst wenn die App keinen Zugang zum GPS-Modul hat. Android hat diesen Konflikt mit dem Datenschutz nur auf etwas brachiale Weise gelöst: Eine App, bei der die GPS-Standort-Bestimmung nicht freigegeben ist, erhält keinen Zugang zu Bluetooth. Diese harte Kopplung zwischen GPS und Bluetooth ist nicht anschaulich, auch nicht intuitiv oder selbsterklärend. Aber so ist Android eben.
Die genauen Details sind nun bei jedem Handy und bei jeder Android-Version anders, anscheinend ist es bei manchen Handy's und Android 9 in der Benutzeroberfläche der Android-Einstellungen möglich, Bluetooth einzuschalten und gleichzeitig der App das Recht auf GPS-Location zu verweigern. Intern jedoch wird Bluetooth bei diesem Konflikt blockiert. Mit dieser Kombination haben wir nicht gerechnet, diese Kombination wird in unseren Testfällen nicht abgedeckt. Ob die App unter Android 9 diesen Konflikt erkennen und eine Meldung an den User abgeben kann, müssen wir uns noch anschauen und arbeiten an einer Lösung.
